Archivo Cubanecuir Librada Gonzalez Fernandez

Archivo Cubanecuir is a memory project dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting the history of trans and queer Cuban people. Founded by Librada González Fernández, the archive aims to document the lives of individuals who have lived outside the gender norm in Cuba. It consists of over 800 items, including photos, letters, and artifacts, collected from cuir (queer) Cuban elders across the Caribbean and the United States. The archive is accessible online, allowing users to search and explore the historical records of the trans community in Cuba.

Barbara Di Rocco

Barbara Di Rocco is an Argentine transgender activist, author, and emerging documentary producer dedicated to amplifying marginalized voices and advocating for LGBTQ+ rights. Through her work, she brings attention to issues of identity, visibility, and social justice, drawing from both personal experience and community engagement. As an author, she uses storytelling as a tool for empowerment, creating narratives that challenge stigma and inspire dialogue. Her activism is rooted in a commitment to equality and representation, particularly within Latin American contexts. She is currently producing a documentary focused on Argentine trans showgirls, highlighting their artistry, resilience, and cultural significance. Her growing presence on social media, including Instagram, allows her to connect with a broader audience and foster a sense of community. With a multidisciplinary approach to her work, she continues to build a platform that merges art, activism, and education.

Lavender Zines Kylle ST. Trail

Lavender Zines is a digital and physical archive preserving queer magazines and ephemera from the 1960s. From erotic magazines and drag queen matchbooks to radical newsletters, we spotlight LGBTQ+ history, art, and underground culture, one printed page at a time. We believe in making vintage queer art and photography open and accessible to all. We want to not only preserve queer history, but honor the sacrifices of our queer ancestors while acknowledging the good and bad sides of our history. We believe that Trans lives matter, Black lives matter, and in defunding the police. These are aspects that have deep roots in the history of our queer community.

TGirlsOnFilm Tranne Bolyn

Jaye Hudson is a trans historian and curator. Often presenting under the name TGirlsonFilm , she has worked for BFI Flare, Fringe! Queer Film and Arts Festival and Squiff. Recently she wrote and produced a trans archival zine project, “Tranny Central” with Roz Kaveney and was an archive assistant at the London Community Video archive.

David Lebois and Antoine Bollée bring complementary perspectives to a shared, long-term exploration of the world of Zaza Dior. With a background in engineering and a career in software publishing, David’s connection to the subject is deeply personal: at 14, he became an avid listener of the radio show *Lune de Fiel* on 94.4 FM, drawn to the uninhibited energy of Zaza Dior and David Girard. Decades later, a chance encounter in 2016 with Girard’s autobiography reignited that early fascination, prompting David to begin an extensive research project that would span nearly ten years. His work has been rooted in patient archival investigation, including rare photo albums of Zaza that form a cornerstone of his collection, as well as broader documentary and testimonial research, which he also shares through his Instagram archive, @ZazaDior_LetTraveloNommeDesir.

Antoine , who teaches English literature at La Sorbonne Université, joined the project after David had already assembled a significant body of material. Bringing a literary and analytical lens, Antoine contributed structure, interpretation, and depth to the evolving narrative. His sensitivity to text, voice, and cultural context has helped shape a more nuanced portrait of Zaza Dior’s world. Alongside this collaboration, Antoine curates his own archive through the Instagram @MemoirsDesCabaretsInterlopes, dedicated to LGBTQ and “interlope” cabaret culture in France, drawing on an extensive personal collection of books, vinyl records, and show programs. Together, their partnership bridges personal memory and academic insight, resulting in a richly layered reconstruction of a singular cultural moment.
